soniam 6 Posted October 28, 2008 I'm really looking for direction here. I followed directions in photoshop to attempt an infared look. It didn't turn out quite how I had hoped but I think it is interesting... Please let me know what you think and how to improve. Thank you so much Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted October 30, 2008 I like this hi-key-type image. your use of bright light to achieve this effect is quite original. compliments -koushik Link to comment
www.photo.netphotosseamo 0 Posted October 30, 2008 it seems almost too bright, sucking out the colour. is that "washed out"? Link to comment
john van aarle 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Hi Sonia The construction of the photo is good.the road leading nicely out of the view on top right.. Update on my ealier statement, I downloaded the photo and noticed your work: Rebel XTI and you work with photoshop CS3.. Color SRGB..Try to convert this in PS to RGB and from 8 bit to 16 bit Aarture Priority was used; good! Focal length 17 mm.. exposure time 1/10 on aparture F22 by ISO 400..Why ISO 400 ?? This is IMO the bottleneck here! Why not ?? F8 .. and ISO 100 Than your basic resolution was 72.. same as mine when not working with RAW.. but in; **JPG..Better before you start working on a photo change the relolution from 72 dpi to 300 dpi Maybe a next one turns out great. Hope you dont mind I did some deeper search ? Smiles from Holland John Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted October 31, 2008 Thank you Koushik and Simon. It does look a little high key but perhaps Simon is right - Too washed out? Maybe I will stick the a more natural feel... Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted November 3, 2008 Wow John! You certainly did your research! I don't mind at all, eccept I would have to admit some of what you said is over my head. Now it is my turn to research. I will make a point of trying to apply your suggestions. Always good to hear ways to improve - especially to such detail. Thank you for your extra time and detailed critique! Link to comment
