Thanks David. My problem was not only getting swept out to sea but making the camera steady on the tripod because every time the wave came in, the tripod feet dug into the sand. Cheers!

 

N.B. I had this converted in B&W posted few months back but didn't realize this original color version was pleasing as well.

Lester, I had the same thought as David, that you could have been swept out to sea. I can really feel the powerful force of nature here, I can hear the ocean and feel it's strength. This is wonderful, so well done.

Fantastic shot, I admire how the water is captured - so soft, pearl-like, smooth. And the light is excelent. Very nice composition and perfect timing. Warm regards

Thanks for your comments. I did get wet but I came prepared. I stayed for three hours till sundown here at Crystal Cove. -

A very strong image. The extreme rush of the water gives me a sense of the power and speed of the water. This is National Geographic quality. Well done. -David :)
