eddie m. 0 Posted October 28, 2008 Great capture, Bob! Did you do any work on the sky? It looks too good to be a real one! Congrats! P.S. I intended to rate it 7/7, but the system didn't allow me... :(( Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted October 28, 2008 Great picture.....I like the high definition look it has but there is something odd about the sky. Did you sharpen the clouds when you applied the unsharp mask? Also there is an unusual green color in the sky that doesn't look natural. Fred Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted October 28, 2008 Thanks to all for the nice comments and rates. Just a few notes, 1) This was originally shot this past summer. I liked all the shots and only posted a couple. I may post more in the future. 2) I am at a loss over current rating trends. Shots like this seem to get more attention than others. I only wish that for all the high ratings here, I can get some feedback on others as well. Anyways, this shot is obviously "tweaked", I added pop to it by expanding the dynamic range and with some sharpening and noise reduction. I like this image a lot and I am pleased with the sky that was overhead this day so, I may post more of these in the future. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted October 29, 2008 The pop you have added gives this a nice range of contrast, both in colour and tone(value). the pano effect ( or wide angle) gives us a great sense of scale. And those magnificent clouds add the illusion of motion which supports the falls. ( Did anyone happen to see the "Whale Tail" on the right?)And the foam leads ours eyes down the river. You just did everything right Bob! Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted November 5, 2008 The colours, esp the deep blue & those dotted clouds are beautiful element in this landscape. The waterfall is of course lovely too. Link to comment
