Beautiful composition and exposure. There's some wonderful symmetry and patterns in this; not to mention the beautiful fall colors. Unfortunately we just don't get all that much in the way of fall colors down here in southern California; so, thanks for sharing this with all of us! Very nicely seen and captured, Leslie. Cheers! I like this because it's not what I'd expect for a fall image. I like the starkness of the bare trees against the fire red of the background. Very creative.

I like contrasting elements, and like Liz, I think the stark whiteness (grayness?) of the dead trees contrasts nicely with the flaming red/orange foliage in the background.

This is a difficult shot to try and make look original, as many many folks have taken similar images. But the way you have set the colors off with the white gray trunks makes it work really well. It's kind of like the colorless plain Janes of the world occluding the flashy redheads. Doesn't happen very often, but you've made it the story of the day. Well done.
