minicucci 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Bulent: I like this shot a lot. The sky is the obvious star and the image apportions its space accordingly. There is a palpable sense of deep expansiveness to the scene that says something about this bit of land. There is also a sense of quiet and perhaps brooding about the coming winter. I love the softness of the sky. One niggle that I have is the cold color balance, with a slight blue-cyan caste. This seems to mute the yellows/reds of the foreground and the green of the trees. Castes are a fact of nature, created by situational lighting. (Sunsets, sunrises, et al). While they can be very effective visually, they also exact a cost in the other colors of the palette. Here I think a bit less cyan in the clouds' highlights and a nudge warmer in the foreground would benefit the image. On the other hand, this might destroy the mood you wished to present. I mention it only as a consideration and a choice to be made. Niggle aside, strong image. Link to comment
