diego bardone 0 Posted October 22, 2008 The usual meaningful shot Giuseppe. Sooner or later I'll come to Rome or to see some races at "Caprilli"... Ciao!! Diego Link to comment
Ciao. Link to comment

pix_ie 0 Posted October 22, 2008 I like the greyscale and the general idea, the old woman let even me feel lonely... but i think about how it would look without the gate/fence in front. or the gate closer, just shown in a detail and in result to take more of the house backwards on the pic. just an idea. i was not there... but this is me, sorry, always severe and critical :) best regards Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted October 23, 2008 and ratings. As Rita says, this shot could have been titled "Dignity". Pix ie makes some good observations, and I will try to crop the photo and see what comes out. I shot this one without using the viewfinder: I was walking down the street camera in hand (pre-selected f/8 aperture, 1/125 and zoom on 35mm as I usually do for street) when I spotted this lady, the grates and the shadow behind her. I quickly raised my hand and shot imagining the final composition. I left almost un cropped this work as I liked the idea of the lady among iron grated things. Solitude in the urban context is a theme that I have tried to explore in my last photographic sessions and I am grateful to all those PN friends who continuosly support my work with their critiques and suggestions. Ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Wonderful capture, Guiseppe. I love the various lines and shadows, and of course, her body position, both in the frame and on herself. Link to comment
