The other day while shopping with the Mrs. we noticed a very elderly woman wearing the brightest red lipstick smeared several inches outside the lines. And here, I see her portrait. Since you have an eye for the oddities of life, I hope that the comparison doesn't offend. Delightful colors here. Sad and brilliant.

My first thought was, this looks muddy and underexposed. My second thought was, well yes of course the curtain is going down on this place and ' fade to black ' is what we see.

A bleak post apocalyptic vision as the aftermath of your other recent impending Apocalypse photo.

Ah, but did I not bring us a ray of sunshine and hope with the perky little apartments? All is not lost. But this one is dark, murky and with a rather unpleasing perspective that could have been corrected. It was taken very early in the morning and was quite dark, even though I have coaxed some blue out of the sky. The low light might account for the murkiness you mention. Or it could simply be the processing. Either way, we get the idea of a stinking corpse. (I've been waiting to use that one for awhile)

You captured the dilapidated feel of this building accurately. I can see Jeff's association here. Don't forget the eyelashes as well.

As those of you who are acquainted with me know, it is my custom to thank each and every person who comments on my images individually. I've recently been traveling and have fallen considerable behind in my activity on Pnet. Rather than spend an inordinate amount of time in that process, I will just thank you all collectively, and get busy viewing (and commenting on) your recent posts. So, my sincere thanks to all of you.

Though I've never seen this, for some peculiar reason it looked familiar. Come to see that it's in the next county north of me. It looks like plenty around these parts. ;~)

Las Animas did not appear to me to have a lot going for it. Maybe I'm just being too superficial and judgmental. I did like this strange old theater, and the apartment building trimmed in yellow that I posted.
