Matt Laur 2,201 Posted October 21, 2008 A chukar partridge is under the steady, watchful gaze of a pointing German Shorthair. This image views best larger. Thanks for visiting. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted October 24, 2008 There you go outnumbering and overgunning innocent little birds again! I like this for the diagonal composition and placement of our two stars, as well as the muted gray-green colors. The bird is almost a Charles Shulz character, and you're impressively close. tonmestrom 4 Posted November 2, 2008 very effective composition. A shame that he's out of focus. Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted November 2, 2008 Yeah, Ton. It's time for me to get a body with better high ISO performance so that I can stop down and get better DoF when the light is dim like this. People like to say it's all about the photographer and not the equipment... but sometimes it's about the laws of physics! Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted November 2, 2008 how right you are. In this instance anyway. Nevertheless I enjoy your photo's immensely. Link to comment
jbm 0 Posted March 9, 2009 It might be nice to have the DOF larger, but this is nice with the bokeh on the dog, too, as it makes the interaction a little more abstract. I want a D700, too, brother. Badly. Jay Link to comment
