There you go outnumbering and overgunning innocent little birds again! I like this for the diagonal composition and placement of our two stars, as well as the muted gray-green colors. The bird is almost a Charles Shulz character, and you're impressively close.

Yeah, Ton. It's time for me to get a body with better high ISO performance so that I can stop down and get better DoF when the light is dim like this. People like to say it's all about the photographer and not the equipment... but sometimes it's about the laws of physics!

how right you are. In this instance anyway. Nevertheless I enjoy your photo's immensely.

It might be nice to have the DOF larger, but this is nice with the bokeh on the dog, too, as it makes the interaction a little more abstract.

 

I want a D700, too, brother. Badly.
