wmhoodphoto 0 Posted October 17, 2008 Internal changes in this aging star cause it to slough off its outer gaseous layers. Named, The Dumbbell Nebula (I would've called it the Apple Core Nebula), it resides in our Milky Way Galaxy at about 1,200 light-years away. Link to comment
