Internal changes in this aging star cause it to slough off its outer

gaseous layers. Named, The Dumbbell Nebula (I would've called it the

Apple Core Nebula), it resides in our Milky Way Galaxy at about 1,200

light-years away.

That is so far out of my league I'm not even in the same galaxy as you... seriously. Amazing. I can only imagine how you get a photo like this. It's beautiful, love the colors. M

Very nice image. Looks a bit noisy though. Perhaps a crop from the larger frame ? Still a great shot none the less.
