I liked the way you framed her head on a light background. I believe, keeping both her hands within the frame was also very important for this photo. A classical Meir; short encounters turned into lasting images...

The usual nice composition for a very good portrait.

A well produced shot of this Street Artist..was this a "grabbed" shot or was it "posed"..?

Keith, you asked was the photo grabbed or posed. Both I guess. I "grabbed" the first photo (attached above) than I asked her for a photo, the second photo, which is posted for critique. First shot she is unaware of me and the second shot she is aware of me. That is about the only difference; eveything else is the same. She looks friendly but she was not. Very original portrait, the painter looks a bit reserved but is trying to smile:). The way she's holding her paintbrushes and unusal combination of the clothes add to this photo. Nice DOF and tonality, I agree with Bulent - it's great you've managed to capture the head on the light background. If I had to change something here I'd leave a little more space on the left of the picture but in general the composition is really good (imho). Well done, regards, -wm
