alones 1 Posted October 17, 2008 This is strange :) , Was it taken at some deserted pool or bath ? May be I see too many horror films but ........... there is something creepy in this photo :) Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted October 17, 2008 Thank you so much for stopping by again Alon, you're so loyal, hihihi It was kind a creepy indeed, this picture was taken in a sort of sanatorium/asylum in the East of Germany, very creepy, it makes you wonder..... We went to different spooky places. In the war there were some experiments involved. Not a place you like to visit I think, brrrrrr lots of greets Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted October 17, 2008 Creepy or not it is a fantastic image. Places like this have ghosts in the vicinity but they tell a story if you dig for it, and this is your strength as an artist. I hope you show more black and white work at some point. This one is certainly worth a shot of Jameson and I think McCracken would agree. Bravo. -Owen Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted October 18, 2008 hahahahaa, I think so to As a non-alhoholic lover, I could use a drink in this place ;-) Why do you want some blackandwhites Owen? That's not something I do :-):-). Maybe for that reason hahaha? Thanks for dropping by again, I've missed you a bit ;-) Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 18, 2008 I think rust works well in colur. Owen likes B&W because that was all that was around when he started taking photos. Fair play to him, he is rather good at it. (Don't tell him I said so!) I love this image too. However, I would like to see more DoF in it. I think it would be even more haunting. Reducing the flare might also help. I am a fan of your work. You are nothing short of fantastic. Link to comment
inmymind 0 Posted October 18, 2008 Well, my first reaction was "oh wow!"...I think the light really made this an interesting image as well as the mix of objects/subjects. Conflicting. Love it! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted October 20, 2008 Bianca: I think some, if not all of your images deserve a look in BW. It is another degree of abstraction that should still be an option. Never take McCracken seriously unless he is talking about Scotch. -Cheers Link to comment
