If you don't mind me asking, what lens was used -- macro or not? It appears you were rather close.

PS I am thinking of renting the new D5 for the weekend, when available -- with a couple of lenses -- maybe making a system change, if I am happy with the results.

Thanks for the comment. If I remember correctly the image was shot with a 50mm lens with a macro facility. I was close!

I love this shot & the main reason i do love it, is that i photograph eyes all the time, but i have never thought to post them, i did not think that they would be a very interesting subject for people to look @ & critque, what you have mastered here is the detail, in the lashes, the white of the eye is so beautifuly white, i really like that, have you post procesed in any way? also great colour in the iris, well shot.

Thanks again Andrew. This photo is as taken. There would be little or no processing of this image. As for not knowing which images are interesting, I would say to you that is the reason I upload them. It usaully transpires that the p.nut community like the photos I don't like and vice versa.
