Great clarity and wonderful image! This would make a great postcard! I love how the water is trailing behind a couple of the birds who have just taken off in the lower right.

This is an example of excellent composition, sea and sky in balanced third proportions and the larger (closer) birds are predominantly at the top of the frame in the larger upper portion of the sky background - just another reason why this exposure really works.

Thanks for the comments. I had to straighten the horizon a bit before uploading. I was panning the camera as they flew and really had no time to think about composition.

 

These birds had just taken off. Someone... scared them up. After they are in flight for a few seconds, their wings seem to beat in unison, an amazing sight to see.

Beautiful birds they are! Very nice!

I always wanted to shoot a picture like this ... simply amazing.
