The birds really make this one work for me and the B&W really adds a great mood. Also love the way you've used the fence to lead you into the shot. Could just be my eyes but is the picture a bit tilted? Great image regardless. 6/6 from me (anon)

Isabella, the country around here is very hilly and rugged. The old buildings and fences are all wonky. You would have a hard time finding a flat peice of land. The fence and gate here were all over the place. I thought I had lined up the top of the gate with the top of the frame, but it does look titled now that you pointed it out. Thanks for that. Nice use of a framing device and the stationary bird compared to the moving ones at various distances creates a nice sense of depth, as does the leading fence in the foreground. I like the texture of the grass, subtle and fine, in the front and the smoothness of the rolling hills against the warm and soft sky. It feels like it captures attention to life, the moment both frozen and fleeting, as represented by the still bird seeming to guard the ones in motion.
