I believe this green heron is the one that I posted a few days ago.

He was one of my favorite subjects.

The hunter became the hunted, circle of life. The real hunter is Monte and his D3, nothing can escape his camera lens :) :) another unique momemt.

A la carte! A very violent and authentic image that illustrates the cold brutality of nature. Very nice of you to point out that this ain't just any bird, but a PARTICULAR bird we know. Somehow adds to the force and urgency of the image. On the larger version, the head of the heron is seen dangling below the branch, a fitting epitaph to the transformation from a vibrant life to an item on the menu.

Excellent shot, looks like the Heron was concentrating on the fish and forgot to look up. Great wildlife action keep it up.
