stoatsngroats 1 Posted October 14, 2008 I like this image, but I wonder if you can reduce the impact of the edge of the floor/wall...?..perhaps move your model into the middle of the room, and use a much larger aperture...? This wouls allow a much sharper focus too. It's be interesting to have some alternate views from around her too, front on/rear on, from above.... Just my thoughts - you did ask! best regards, Shaun Link to comment
patrickjacobson 0 Posted October 14, 2008 Hi Shaun and thanks for your input/comment. I agree that the wall/edge is disturbing. I only took my 200mm with me and the room wasnt really large enough to place her in the middle. I didnt use any flash either so f2.0 was the only choice that time. I will for sure use other lenses and get better placements the next time! Im glad you were honest! =) Thanks, Patrick J Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted January 17, 2009 Jenny is really adept and deserves a session where you can have the background and lighting under your control. I have been seeking a model to illustrate yoga myself and haven't met anyone as sleek and powerful as this lady. Send her to Hawaii. I bet she could help me to push my aged bones more. This asana takes strength in mind and body. And it is just a beautiful example of the art of yoga. You can tell I am an enthusiast. Photographically, yoga studios are not great for doing anything. Persuade her to help you in a better environment. I still like the shot despite a humdrum background and your limitations on light control, Lifelong learning is what its all about. I wish you well and keep at it pat...gs Link to comment
patrickjacobson 0 Posted January 19, 2009 Thank you Gerry for your comment! Jenny will be happy reading this. I agree that she deserves a better shootout then this one and we have talked about doing one soon. Thanks once more, Patrick Link to comment
