Weird autumn plants in the mountains

these sort of resemble beargrass but no idea what they are called.

The plant on its own may make a good subject but the rest of the image is too harshly lit by the sun and is distracting. All the best AJ

thanks for the feedback. I did post one of just the weird plant with the sun shining through it. this is more of a "here is where the other shot was taken from" sort of angle.
