dgv 1 Posted October 11, 2008 A superb composition, I would call it a portrait Pnina, since it shows the people in their context. Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted October 11, 2008 Very good composition, exposure, & light. It is interesting how you have captured the ambiance, where the Teacher is giving tips to the younger Pupil and both are serious about their subject,Pnina Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted October 12, 2008 I love the archetypal motif of the older mentoring the younger, the many instruments, which paint a feeling of joy and drama and hard work. I love it. Link to comment
janusz taras 0 Posted October 12, 2008 Beautiful composition and conservatorium atmosphere. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2008 Dimitris, for me it is more a composition, even thought it is also portraits of two people. Thanks for your visit and comment. Joao, Marjorie and Keith, thanks for your nice comment, it is a music center, a very nice one. Amal, they are both teachers, even though in other fields of music, Arik on the R is a builder of instruments, Yaki on the L is a music teacher and a musician. Thank my friend! Donna, the older one, that the evening was honoring his work by many musicians, was explaining what materials and technics are needed to build musical instruments, and later was a concert as well. The center has warm colors and is a very nice place. Thanks for liking this photo of a very special evening. Mauriozio and Janusz, thanks both of you Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted October 12, 2008 Your love for dancing and music is more than evident. This could have been one of your most "carefree" captures, with less vibrant motion and less agony to freeze the moment.Although, the image is talkative by itself,at the first look. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 13, 2008 As precisely arranged and toned as a painting by Rembrandt. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 13, 2008 Photis thanks, but "less agony to freeze the moment". is not me....;-)) I enjoy every moment of what I do, Freezing moments in life is what all of us are really doing.... Jack, I think that you should be a writer too! your wording is no less than your photography ;-)) this music center is beautiful with warm colors, so half my work was already done....Thanks my Osaka friend. Alberto, glad you liked it, thanks Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 15, 2008 Pnina: Not much to add to the comments already made . . . This photograph portrays music, communicates music, ... is music. michael Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted October 15, 2008 This is what apprenticeship is all about. The tones and colors found throughout the composition are harmonious and well coordinated. I have always found the passing of knowledge to be a noble activity and that is why I think that teachers in the USA are so underpaid. When you see the skyrocketing salaries that athletes command in this country, you realize that there is something wrong in a society where entertainment takes precedence over knowledge. pnital 36 Posted October 16, 2008 Daily! it was the only angle available!....;-)) Michael, thanks, it is music all around. The musician and the artist producing the instruments. Adan, thanks for a nice wider point of view.! Daily??....LOL.... Link to comment
janusz1 0 Posted October 18, 2008 Highly esthetical work. Tones and color. Fascinating content abbout an artistic exchange between student and teacher perhaps. Link to comment
