Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 12, 2008 Evocative colors that stop just short of magic. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2008 As usual, your technic creates the "fire" of the seasonal colors, very different from a literal way of changing leaves....It is a metaphorical autumn, an abstract that still keeps the signs of reality without being real. The soft direction that are felt on the blue sky, and lower part, are like a soft wind of autumn. Even though it is an abstract, it has "layers"and some DOF. Beautiful ! Link to comment
vanzuk 0 Posted October 13, 2008 a painting...wonderful colours and i like the white too. ciao Elena Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 14, 2008 I think magic is an apt descriptor. This appears to be constructed of chalk and fire. The haze settling down over the top is a delicious counterbalance to the fire. Link to comment
mario2 0 Posted October 14, 2008 I like to see all colors blended, stunning image Gordon, I like the way that you capture this scene, for my taste really beautiful Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted October 14, 2008 One of your bests besides the "Skeleton Lake". Which is my favourite.nicely used the water surface, i like how it gives the blue color for the top of the shot. And of course, those autumn colors are a pleasure to view. Without those tiny little tree trunks it would be impossible to say what it was. Like it a lot. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 15, 2008 Wonderful capture, Gord. I love this technique, which eludes me still, but you can make the scene so unusual and interesting. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 15, 2008 I appreciate all the feedback. As Tero noted this is a reflection in water. The image is flipped top to bottom from the original which was a small lake at the side of the road. Link to comment
