MichaelChang 12 Posted October 9, 2008 This is wonderful, Tiffany! I'll say it: It looks like a painting. :-) The unexpected pairing of the harpist and sunflower is a pleasant and complementary surprise. The texturing is nicely done, although I might add just a bit more texture to the center cluster which now looks too realistic. Link to comment

MichaelChang 12 Posted October 10, 2008 Hard to tell with a small attachment, Tiff, but looks great! Was the sunflower part of the original landscape? Looks like you've hit on a real crowd pleaser! Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted October 10, 2008 Whoa! Diego...Tomasz...Rueda and Enny...thank you so very much for your ratings and comments. You are feeding my garden ...I hope that I can share more bouquets with you! Michael...I actually have you to thank for the sunflower. I took this pic outside our home and thanks to one of the worth 1000 photoshop tutorials that you sent me...I made the flower work. The last part of my harpist shoot was on the white bg so I could give her an artsy piece...so that should answer your questions about my choice of black vs white background....white is always tricky for me but it works so well for these applications. MichaelChang 12 Posted October 10, 2008 That's great, Tiffany! A lonely sunflower transformed into a masterful piece of art. The scale and composition you've chosen works so well, and totally unexpected. :-) I have found the Web Gallery of Art to be very inspiring. Definitely worth a visit although not the easiest site to navigate. Link to comment

celasun 0 Posted October 11, 2008 I don't do colages and I do not use PS. Now, after seeing your stunning photo (which shows a lot more than simple PS skills), I think I may be missing something... Congratulations. Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted October 11, 2008 Thank you Sheryl and Jorg. I hope that this piece gives back to your gardens! Juan...now I know what to do with all the landscape shots that I got on the roadtrip. This landscape in Wyoming was amazing...but my image was frustratingly flat...all I needed to do was add a flower and a harpist....VOILA!!!! I love your suggestion about the paper. I will check it out. Bulent...oh the beauty of layers. I was resistant too...until I found the best images were the ones that I didn't control. I hope that you stretch out in the possibilities. Pierre...if there is someone to be envious of...I would say it is the woman on the harp...to be practicing her art in such a beautiful concert hall to such an appreciative audience (>8 Link to comment
