The positioning of the branches add a very artistic composition. I like this a lot.

I have only seen one flicker all year. This is one of my favorite birds and you have captured it nicely. The branches provide an interesting pattern. Very sharp and colorful. Great work!!!

When I approached this area on my bicycle, about 4 or 5 flickers flew away. Then one returned about 10 minutes later and perched for no more than 15 seconds. I fired about 5 shots, of which this was the best.

Great composition. The way the branches frame the bird really sets it off, and how the bird is still large enough to see detail and to be the main subject, but the branches add so much other interest too.
