amy masters 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Another shot from the zoo. (i hate to call it "nature" but it is an animal) as always comments/critiques welcome. Link to comment
matman1975 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Hello Amy...when you shoot animals in "artificial" environment try to avoid any element that reminds the viewer that this is not a wild photo! For example the upper part of your shot could be effectively cropped.Always use shallow DOF because the blurry surroundings can't reveal the place where the picture was taken and wait till the animal looks at you... cause this way maybe you can achieve a beautiful portrait! I only wish that you can one day take real wildlife photos of wild animals in their natural settings...the excitment and joy of the whole procedure can't be compared to anything!! amy masters 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Thank you for your comment... i appreciate what you are telling me, hopefully i can do that next time i am at the zoo. i did get a face shot, but it's off, it isn't as clear as i would like, the glass distorted my POF... I would LOOOVE to go on a safari or someplace to get a true natural shot of wildlife. Unfortunatly my husband isn't as understanding as your wife, though perhaps i can change that. ;) thank you again, you were most helpful and i will try to adjust my settings to get a more natural shot at the zoo. thank you again!!!
