michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 8, 2008 Taken at Big Cypress Preserve in south Florida . . . This is a bit of an experiment. Since I coiuldn't squeeze much more color out of it without it looking overblown, I tried fuzzing the focus on the periphery. Feedback will be most appreciated! Link to comment
sondador 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Michael, This is cool -- how'd you get the blurry, dusty effect? I think this is a good picture. You mentioned you couldn't squeeze more color out of it, but the color of the red flower front/center is very rich -- maybe you could maintain that and squeeze the color out of (i.e., darken) the rest of it? Just a thought. All the best, Paul Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 10, 2008 Paul: Feedback very much appreciated! I've admitted elsewhere several times that I haven't yet taken the plunge into Photoshop. I used an online editing site to soften the focus. By the way, I did try dropping the exposure, and it caused the shot to lose detail. Thanks, again. michael Link to comment
srichardson 0 Posted December 4, 2008 Michael,, Just discovered this photo.. Great save,, I like it a lot.. I'm also interested in the technique that you used to get this.. It looks like maybe a layer and the focusing combined? The colors look very nice to me.. I like the way it gives that mystery between painting and photo look. Well done. Link to comment
