Is it where the adventure starts, leaving the island at dawn and the seagulls following the boat, always hungry for a fish meal?Or the end of a glorious day of fishing, eating and photographing?

What I like is the wake and the gulls. I wish I could see a little more light on the foreground. Is that a scupper, bit ship hardware of what kind? and and a coil of manila rope? I guess this is a case where just a wink of onboard flash in low manual mode would have given a glorious combination. Perhaps a more fore and aft angle would have revealed what the foreground was all about since it occupies much space and frames the background.... I hope I make myself clear. I like to be" led into" a scene like this. But the foreground slows down or stops my eye as it tries to make out what the heck am I looking at in silhouette there---I am a past-sailor but not a fisherman so unfamiliar with the gear and tackle without more light on it. Nice seascape though.

I feel I am there.. Beautiful colours, very interesting foreground-background composition. Regards, Stamoulis.

But why didn't you use some flash? This way you could have invented a second sun for the hungry viewer's eye and have warmed our planet a little bit more, because two light sources are better than one.

Best regards.

Nice and lovely shot. I like the water and the birds very much and gives me an impression that I am in Jurrasic era (after Jurrasic park III, ha ha ha ha).

... thought about the comments made by Photis and about needing flash for the boat section; how about this? Just a little adjustments on a layer mask brings the boat out all that is necessary, I think. Either way, for me the shot just flat-out works. Well done.

...I am exceedingly thankful to you that you found it worth spending your time on this picture and hope to get your suggestions on other ocassions too. My idea was to keep the boat as dark as poss. in order to offer the minimum of distraction to the picture. However your version is very good.Keep well, DS.
