pietje 0 Posted October 8, 2008 What an unbelieveble capture. I think it would be even greater without the very light colour cast (correct with the levels in the green & especialy the blue channel). But realy impressive shot. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 9, 2008 One of the best Grizzly captures I've seen. I'm jealous! We saw our first Grizzlies in Glacier National Park about a month ago, but even with our 300mm lens we couldn't get very close to them. This is pretty impressive to have the close-up AND the great action as well. Bravo! Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Thanks everyone. I do feel very fortunate for how everything unfolded. As soon as the pilot landed on the beach(just a regular ol' beach, a little bumpy, but not too bad), we walked up fairly close to these guys. They then immediately walked closer to us, out in the open, in the good light, in front of the glacier, and put on a show for us. The one unfortunate thing that's been tormenting me is the thought of the two best pictures being out of focus and unusable, but of course I'm still happy with what I got. Next time I'm in Alaska, I'll be spending a few days in Katmai instead of a few hours. Link to comment
