Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 8, 2008 This was my first experience with using ND filters. Please give me your opinions on this. Thanks! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted October 9, 2008 Christal... Is this a "solid" ND filter? I don't see any graduated lines... good shot! Mike Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 9, 2008 It was a graduated filter, hand-held so I could adjust it as necessary. Because of the angle of this mountain, I was able to angle the filter as well. For my first experiment with them, I was pretty happy with how they worked. Although I lost a couple of great shots because of lines in the sky from the filter. I don't know how to get rid of them.....do you know if there is a way? Thanks for your visit! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Is this on the trail to Hidden Lake up on Logan Pass? If so, I am amazed at how little snow was left. Personally, I think your use of the ND grad filter was masterful here. Wonderful color contrasts between the deep rich blue of the sky and the yellow-orange and reds of the Belt Supergroup rocks. One tiny nit - you see that small white rock (snow?) on the bottom left - if you ever tinker with this image, I'd clone that out. Very nicely presented here too. Well done! Cheers!
