This monastery & church is believed to be built in the 3rd century. It is

entirely carved into stones nearby the Black Sea coast. The place is

Kiyiköy (written with dotless "i", in Turkish), a village of the city

Kirklareli. One does not have to be a devotee of a certain religion to feel

something special while sitting there... The place is deteriorating due

mostly to environmental conditions (mostly humidity).

Amazing building! I hope they are able to save it from destruction. I am drawn to the small openings in the distance and I want to see what's inside. Excellent lighting.
