eugenio_pastor_benjumeda 0 Posted October 7, 2008 Hello Linda. It seems to me a cheerful image, full of great colours. It's good that the DOF presents us the tree as the main component of the scene. I like it. I answer you about my image called "espejos": it's not a sepia tone, so was the light indoor. What I did was change a bit the color balance because it was too yellow. Thank for your kind comment. Best regards from Eugenio. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 10, 2008 I find a sadness here, brought on by the withering red leaves. There's strength in the fullness and presence of the tree, it's strong texture and silvery color and subtle lighting. The background is awash in greens and yellow, not blurry enough to lack presence yet not sharp enough to really be discernible. Like fall, one wants to be cheered by the color but the reminder of the winter to come and the natural fading of life is everpresent. I also see this as confrontational as opposed to the more frequent meditative scenes of autumn. It's as if the tree means to remind us of a harsh, yet also fanciful, reality. Not unlike life. pnital 36 Posted October 11, 2008 Linda, it looks like a triptych of season changes. Still green on the L soft red in the middle with a brautiful textute of the tree many rounds of years... and the R side completely yellow with a touch of red... very unusual and differently composed. has an atmospher of the passing time.
