philipklinger 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Hi Leslie! I like the colours and the composition very much. This motive has great potential, however, I've got something to criticize: First, I think the image is a bit over-sharpened when I look at the leaf. And second: The light is a bit boring, or let's call it flat. Go there photographing in the evening, or maybe even better in the morning: Beautiful shadows create depth and excitement, maybe there's some fog above the water and sunbeams cutting through it. It would be an outstanding photograph. Best regards, Philip Link to comment
lesliejbng 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Philip, Thanks you for your suggestions. I am fairly new to the editing side of things and currently am just experimenting and learning as I go. I agree on the time of day I was disappointed with some good shots but the lightening (time of day) took away from the shots. I am going to play with this one a bit more and take your advice to tone down the sharpening. I appreciate your time and comments! Leslie Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Nice scenery, but the light does not do it justice. Try playing with contrast and saturation. You may also try to crop some of the jumble of rocks in the foreground, to focus more on the trees. Link to comment

Stock-Photos 1 Posted November 29, 2008 A classic White Mountains capture. I agree the lighting is not optimal. However, photographers have no control over lighting in landscapes except to come back another day, and who wants to do that? Looks like the clouds were high and thin for this one. Sometimes, overcast days are better than sunny, for foliage photography. Someone has been stacking stones, at image center! Link to comment
