danbliss 0 Posted October 4, 2008 In the previous version, the highlights looked a little blown out on the PN page. Link to comment
eugenio_pastor_benjumeda 0 Posted October 6, 2008 Hello Dan. I think it's a smart portrait, because of the girl and of the way to make it. I really like the position of the model and her expression's face. As you say: "very well done". Nice to see you here again. Best regards from Eugenio. Link to comment

danbliss 0 Posted October 9, 2008 Thank you for your kind comment Rita. As an aside, I wish I could say "Ciao," but when Americans say it, we just sound like goofballs. :-) Thanks again. Dan Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 27, 2008 I've dropped by and looked at this photo often, I actually thought I had previously left a comment. I love the pose and the camera angle. The model is very sexy in a manner well suited to the nostalgia tinged and slightly unconventional spirit of the photograph. Both quirky and quizzical. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted December 28, 2008 Oliver and Gordon, thank you for your generous comments. Gordon, I am sorry that I lost your original comments. A while back I reworked the image (the highlights were blown out) and submitted this version. I admit that I am not particular comfortable photographing people. I want to get better at it. I had shot a number of images with a more traditional medium-long lens, but in retrospect I was a little bored with them. Here, I was having fun with taking a portrait with a short lens, and I thought it was more interesting. I am glad that you agree. Thank you again. Dan Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 28, 2008 Hi Dan, no need to be sorry. I 'm just happy you let me know, so that I can assure myself my memory is not really that bad after all :-) Link to comment
