teresa.zafon 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Nice street shot, Liz. I like the tones very much and the waitress head in motion. Good work. Link to comment

doug_gentry 0 Posted October 1, 2008 Liz, I so enjoy these moments in time that are captured with Black and white, where the elements stand strong not distracted by color. This is marvelous! Thanks for sharing and great work! Regards, Doug. Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 15, 2008 This is by far my favourite of your street shots. The toning gives this a dated feel which seems to suit. The convergent horizontal lines pull me through the frame and the verticals make my eye linger and take in each area separately. This is the type of image that keeps the viewer actively engaged. The young girl has such a day dreamy far away gaze. The motion blur of the women on the other side of the counter puts her in stark contrast as a hurried and very here and now part of the scene. The interplay between them is marvelous. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 15, 2008 Gord, what a wonderful, detailed comment. I admit I like this one a lot. The young girl is actually my daughter, totally unaware of me and my camera. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 22, 2008 Nice capture of the ordinary. For most, there's nothing to see here but not for the photographer who is connected to the moment. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted November 22, 2008 Thank you for stopping by, Jack. I count this image as one of my personal favorites - for lots of reasons. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 11, 2010 Traveling a bit in your folders this attracted my attention.I find it a very nice street moment. I think that Gordon said it all, this is a photo that has a lot to offer. The contents, the lines, the people's contrast ( Btw, your daughter looks very beautiful;-)), and especially the light and monochromatic /sepia color palette. I was observing it quite some time!Very good timing as well. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted November 11, 2010 Thank you, Pnina, for your comment. This image has always been one of my favorites. Small secret: I added the blur of the workers. Link to comment
