cherlyn 1 Posted September 29, 2008 If you can still remember my Thaipusum pilgrim series, this young boy is also participating in the festival by carrying some elaborate framework on his shoulders. I guess he is still too young to participate in those skin-piercing rituals , but I believe that he will when he is older. Thanks for visit & feedback. Link to comment

blue-olympus 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Lovely colours and great placement in frame. I can see that the boy does not look very happy with this on his shoulders. Great shot anyway..Regards Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Wonderful capture. Very interesting commentary and beautifully composed. What gets me is that despite the evidence of his extraordinary culture, he has the same look on his face that my kids have given me many times, that says "What a stupid thing you are doing/saying/taking my picture." I love it. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted September 30, 2008 Cherlyn, very good cropping, exposure and light. The boy is carrying 'kavadi' with leaves, which reminds me of the "moving grove" in Macbeth. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 2, 2008 He does not look very happy with that "crown" of leaves Cherlyn, but again you have brought us a festival custom of far away cultures. well executed. Link to comment
