alecee 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Had to shoot for an architect firm a building which is too close to get it all in. I used a fish eye lens and correct the lens distortion with CS3, also changed the cloudy sky which didn't blend well with the white building. Now it's hanging in a frame in their conference room. dabar 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Way to go Alec! I just knew you could do it ;-)I often copy an image like your raw shot and use it to perfect my PSP skills. I am also somewhat surprised at the number of `architectural' shots that are posted without any correction of perspective. It used to be that such photos were done with a view camera, or a tilt/shift lens. Now we have the luxury of dealing with distortion after-the-fact on a computer.Nice work as always! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 27, 2008 Thanks for appreciating Mary, Dave. Sometimes we have to read what the client needs are, like in this case. many architectural firms require exact perspective and sometimes that is quite difficult. The building is too close and there is a hill slope, so going backwards is out of the question. To get the correct perspective a photographer probably require a crane to lift him up from a further location. Thanks to digital software we can save money and a satisfied client means more business. ^_^ Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted October 19, 2008 TQ Sircar, working with clients means understanding their needs. A competent photographer has to be able to manage post processing and creative layout as well. To be successful we have to function just like an ad agency. ^_^ Link to comment
