awaraagard 0 Posted September 26, 2008 thank you for feed back and noticing COLOR in my work. it is actually the color which impresse me more than anything. i yearn to make B&W and SEPIA and MONOTINES and tried very sincerely but somehow could never do it! me and my work is all about COLOR. wherever i see it, it just mesmerizes me! AFRICA in particular has a lot of COLOR, but there's always a sad story behind thin veneer of these glowing hues. i never fail to see a tired sadness peeping through it. this i notice in every face from Ethiopia to Congo [so far]. and this feeling makes COLORS OF AFRICA more lovable for me! i wish these people were not this much sad. i wish i could change something for them! regards! awaraagard 0 Posted September 26, 2008 thank you Roberto Chernitsky. we have a popular verse "Wajoud E Zan Se Hai Tasveer E Kainat Mein Rang" [presence of woman is the core of all beauty in the universe]. counting on this, i agree that women easily glorify any placid looking scene with their sheer presence in it. regards! Guest Guest Posted September 26, 2008 The colours make the people secondary - unless that is what they are meant to be. I also have a feeling that paint is not that bright. It is photoshop. I think the people are interesting and wish they could be highlighted more by having supportive yet not overpowering props. Colour is not a substitute for content and meaning as the great black and white people photos of years ago proved. Cheers Peter Link to comment
