The light wasn't what we hoped for when we were planning this shoot--

too overcast, but this picture still turned out ok, I thought. How do you

feel about the tree line? I would have preferred an endless field all the

way to the horizon, but such things are exceedingly rare on the East

Coast.

Light is good, IMO. Washed out sky is okay, although a bit bright. She's pretty and I like the downward look. Red knee is a bit troublesome?

Thanks Les, She was kneeling in that scratchy grass and just stood up.

It's difficult to comment on the treeline, Doug; any change would have completely altered the feel of the picture. What strikes me are the dull colors and bland sky that even makes her dress less colorful. I think the camera might have also caught her eyes closed in her downward look, perhaps while blinking.

 

Maybe the endless field illusion could have been created with the camera above Colleen laying or seated in the grass.

good observation electron Mike. We've scheduled to try again tomorrow, trying those different angles, especially the looking down while she's lying, but aren't sure if the weather will cooperate.

I know tomorrow will be fun for the both of you. Don't we wish for doing that full time and handsomely paid for it? :-) If you have a camcorder, documenting how you go about shooting might be interesting too. I have been thinking about doing it but haven't found an assistant yet.
