Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 18, 2008 Congratulations on your new granddaughters! I know all about breaking the string of boys.....we finally did it in our family with our daughter's birth. I'm sure you'll dote on them and spoil them rotten. :-) I'm sure this is just the first of many more shots we'll get to see of them. This is precious......so soft and expressive.....really a fabulous composition. You can probably sell this one to an art or baby publication.....I'd give it a try! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Thanks, Christal. It's nice to have girls for a change, although I love all my boys! I actually printed a hand and an ear from each of the twin girls and framed them for gifts for the parents for Christmas. (Hope they don't read that on here!). I did them b&w, used white mats and white frames to match the white nursery. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Hey, if you haven't wrapped the frame yet, take a picture of it and send it to me (or post it here).......sounds like a cute idea that maybe I could 'borrow' in the future. I don't have any grandkids yet, but I hope to in the near future. I really love this little hand.....just precious! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 19, 2008 It's actually 4 frames, with two baby hands and two baby ears (for twins - one from each). For one baby, you could add a foot, too. The flash kind of mucked it up in the middle a bit, but you get the idea. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Thanks so much for going to the trouble to do that! They look fantastic! First of all, it's a very creative and clever idea, but you've also framed them so artistically! Your son and his wife will be thrilled with them, I'm sure! That's one of the things I love about your portfolio.....you're imaginative and creative without being off the wall. I'm sure this won't be the last brilliant idea I get from you. Thanks, Kim! kslonaker 0 Posted October 20, 2008 No problem, Christal. I don't mind sharing any ideas I happen to think of. Here's what I'm up against when I go to take any pictures around the house, tho...my goofy cat has to be in the middle of everything! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 20, 2008 But at least your goofy cat obliges you by being very photogenic! :-) You have some great cat pictures in your portfolio too! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 20, 2008 He IS a good model - not too many cats would let you fire off bright studio lights in their face and not take off! Link to comment
