MichaelChang 12 Posted September 21, 2008 I would have zoomed out just a tad, Tiffany, to preserve the full symmetry of the large tree. I'm being a bit picky, huh? :-) Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Amazing colors...it looks like the entry into a Fairy Tale Kingdom....excellent composition...I really want to see what's beyond the bridge. Nice capture and nice creation. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted September 21, 2008 Thank you Jeff and Michael. I know this genre has been done to death but I had to give it a try. There were actually signs all over warning of leeches and other dangerous swimming and shore conditions. Also ...the largest most aggressive mosquitos I have ever seen/felt. I couldn't relax and take in the atmosphere. So...I thought I got the whole tree reflection...maybe I was getting chomped right when I was pressing the button. Whatever the issue was...you are right Michael. It doesn't work 100%. Your check is in the mail (>8. Jeff...yes...the colors of the place grabbed me. Other than a slight saturation...this is how it looked. You gotta love Montana. Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Mosquitoes in Montana??? Sounded like you were in my home in Louisiana there for a while...only thing missing from your description of this shoot is a gator and a few Cottonmouths....by the way I love Montana...can't wait to return for another visit. Guest Guest Posted September 22, 2008 Very pastoral. It just has a great feel to it. Sweet and welcoming. Sometimes a nice photo is a nice photo and there's no arguing with it. I love the feeling when I've done something myself that's been done to death and I'm happy with it. Not every photo we take will be terribly original, but if we do them well (which you have), we get great satisfaction at having created one of our own. This has the magic. Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted September 22, 2008 Thank you Koushik...Ahmet and Fred. Your work is all very inspirational to me. I appreciate you taking the time here. Fred...I really love your comments particularly because of my experience at this little stop. I think...to add to the ambience of the scene...my daughter was screaming because she had just been bitten/stung by something. Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted September 23, 2008 I agree with Fred...a good picture is a good picture. Link to comment
susanb1 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Reminds me of a classical painting. Very, very cool. One-in-a-million. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted September 23, 2008 Whoa! Thank you so much. I stopped asking for ratings with my landscapes because they were lucky to be getting a solid 3. I was hoping to just get feedback to get a feel of what people think works for landscapes. Much...much appreciation. Link to comment
