katzpjs 50 Posted September 22, 2008 It must be a "guy type of humor". I think the look on the young lady's face tells the real story. Nice shot, I like it. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 28, 2010 This photograph moves me to many thoughts. It makes me think of how photography on the street can make me feel so uncomfortable and yet so comfortable at the same time. One often feels not a part of things when shooting on the street, especially as a casual observer of groups of people like this, doing their thing. Yet, in an instant there can be recognition and visual relationship established between subjects and viewers (often as the subjects get a "peek" at the photographer) which can establish a very defining moment. In this case, you got some pleasantry from the guy, a bit of a quiz from the woman and the foreground guy seems to have remained oblivious. So, I think this photo covers a lot of street ground, from the discomfort of the outsider to the recognized and welcome stranger! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted March 1, 2010 I'm always glad to hear from you. Thanks for noticing this image and making such a complete comment. I would absolutely love to do nothing but street photography, because I think there is so much to study and enjoy about seeing what people are like in the everyday, and I think I would be good at it because I'm very intuitive. But, being female and alone, I can't take the risks. Therefore, I don't practice it, and rarely take anything worth seeing, which is mighty frustrating. I do enjoy what other people can get.
