The shadow and his man - I like that!!!

 

Some years ago - truth is a lot of years ago - I had one of of my most touching musical experiences. It was in the subway - or do you call it the Metro?- during the rush hour. It was in the most crowded subway station of Copenhagen an at that time the walls were covered with bathrooms tiles that made some wonderfull acustics. At least one person had realised that there were some acustics he could benefit from - and so he did. A flutist playing his flute. I'm not sure what kind of flute he was playing but his play really grapped me. The tunes were raising above the noise of the trains coming anf going. I skipped at least 5 or 6 trains just to listen to him - about one hour. I often think the buskers are the real artists - they can perform with out a big scene and without the light and they have to be good to get your attention.

 

Btw. - did you know Bruce Springsteen more than one time has performed as a busker in the streets of Copenhagen before his evenings concerts there - just because he likes it.
