jtipton 0 Posted September 19, 2008 This is a first attempt at a HDR photo. I would like your feed back. Don't worry about hurting my feeling, I lost those in the accident. Comments appreciated, ratings to. Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I think that the big mistake most people make with HDR is it looks like HDR. if you use it in moderation only heighlighting certain areas it enhances any shot. There again some shots using HDR demand more use if you want that surreal look!! In this instance I would say that you have done all the right things. No abnormal colours, no halo around the barn...in fact I have to look very close to find any instances of it at all..Therefore Jim to sum up....bloody good job....Take care! Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted September 19, 2008 I could not have said it better than Keith. You have done an excellent job on this. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 19, 2008 Also agree... nothing wrong with HDR, if you can't see that it is HDR! I am wondering what conditions made you want to use HDR. Did you also HDR your "Fair Weather Barn"? It wasn't noted as HDR and has similar lighting. Well, regardless, an excellent capture.... good shot(s)... Mike Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Doesn't look like an HDR photograph; therefore I like it. Like Mike, I am wondering why you chose to use HDR on this image; other than you were just trying out the process. Looks like a lighting situation that could have been relatively easily handled by the camera. I really like the gun-metal greys and earth tones in this image. Well seen and captured. Cheers! jtipton 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Thanks all for commenting. Michael and Chris- I love to tinker and this is something that I found interesting. Couple things I have found is that compared to several pictures I had previously processed and posted conventionally , like Fair Weather Barn, is the amound of detail and depth this process gives. I am going to continue to experiment in different light situations (I have read HDR works really good in bright sunlight). Thanks again all for the input, your experience and opinions are invaluable.- Best Wishes-Jim Link to comment
