lonebearimages 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Stark and devastatingly poignant. Black and white was the right choice for this too. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
dave holmes 0 Posted September 19, 2008 You managed to pull together a beautifully composed shot in the midst of all the destruction! As the previous comment states... poignant. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Well documented! I really like the sky here, so peaceful set against the destruction of the tree. WOW! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted September 20, 2008 Equally beautiful and frightening. The devistation in the parts of Texas in Ike's line of fire is awful. The entire series really shows how people have been effected. As others have said please keep recording this and please stay safe. Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted September 21, 2008 This one has a personal significance because it is part of your possessions. I feel bad that so much devastation was created by Ike but hopefully, there are always good things that come from such aggression on our normal course of living. One is that we are still alive and that it's a good thing and a valuable asset to have life, sometimes a forgotten thing. Another is that I find that tree beautiful. It is a now a full size literati bonsai. I am not being smart or fescitious either, I am a bonsai collector, this one above is not bad looking at all. It will gain beauty as it replenishes itself, just watch for too many suckers and straight new branches popping out of the trunk and going straight vertical, you will need to trim those or at least give them some control. BTW, the comment you left on my portfolio is probably the most emotional there. It's very nice of you. Thank you. I know you will gather your stuff well and gain strenght in the end, just like that tree will. A survivor is a stronger person. Link to comment
