kartik 0 Posted September 25, 2008 According to the Lonely Planet Guide, about one-third of all foreign tourists to India visit the state of Rajasthan. This obviously encourages the locals to dress even more colorfully than usual for the benefit of tourists. All comments and ratings are welcome. As always, thanks for looking! Link to comment
jimmoi_85 0 Posted September 27, 2008 Great composition and use of colour. It's an interesting aspect of toursim that you have captured here. I'm not quite sure about where I stand on culture/customs that are embellished for the sake of tourism. Is this any less legitimate as a photographic subject for travel photography?? I think u have neatly sidestepped this problem by ackowledging that the image is presented for a tourist market. It's all the more interesting as it shows that toursim gives rise to this phenomena. Great work. J Link to comment
