An clever merge of images meant to express consequences of violence upon innocent people. The title is very expressive. Thanks!

Powerfull image. Thomas Jefferson said: "I do not recollect in all of the animal kingdom a single species but man which is eternally and systematically engaged in the destruction of its own species".

A powerful image indeed, and one which I could not even come close to creating. I will agree that it is a bit over the top, but in this day and age, that is all that seems to get anyone's attention. I greatly appreciate your efforts to make statements which need to be made. Keep it up.

You're right. We only liberated an entire nation from a merciless and violent dictator and created a battle front to fight Al Qaeda away from our homeland. Nice.

Reminds me of all the women and children killed by suicide bombers and other international terrorists in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, India, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Spain, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Kenya, the Philippines, as well as the ones killed on 9/11, in the U.S.

It's a reminder.

'We only liberated an entire nation from a merciless and violent dictator and created a battle front to fight Al Qaeda away from our homeland.'

Iraq has been 'liberated' by Western powers four (five?) times in the last century, and it seems more messed up than ever. The ridiculous borders in the area imposed by Western powers, the fact that Saddam (who I agree was obviously the worst kind of leader) was armed with huge amount of weapons (including chemical weapons which the West helped supply while knowing they were being used on civilians - dead Iranians apparently matter more) and then the country being invaded again, against international law and on a pretext that turned out to be misleading and false ,seems to have been forgotten. Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with Al Qaeda (if that's what was inferred - I'm not sure).

Anyway, on the photo - I'm just not sure on the montage thing. I think these images could be more powerful if they were in their natural context, and less edited - I'd prefer a more journalistic approach. Still, interesting concept.

I agree, their family members are Definitely horrible terrorists, despite the fact that all we know about them is that they look Middle Eastern.

That's reason enough!

Unfortunately in this country too many think just like that. They look middle eastern or Muslim, then they are evil. That's why Americans are at their lowest levels of respect in history.

Very, Very 7 colagge! As reallity- I was there and undoubtly could write not from TV screen or what I listen. More over I have possibility watch this from the hospital and see the suffering of both sites. I was amidst the locals and soldiers. I'll not coment the locals, people like all peoples, I have wish write some words about soldiers there. I neve saw till now the picture depicted thems suffering, suffer of thems families in broad meaning. Most of them are here because that is thems work, like policeman, like fireman, like doctors etc. I never saw most peacefull people then militaris. Be shure ! They know better then common people that in war you have two possibilitis be killed or kill. As normal instinct they very dislike to be killed, as normal humans more over they very dislike to kill someone. What I dislike? No one time I saw how locals provoke them, but with risk to be killed, they never pushed the trigger. I dislike when the massmedia incorporates undermind to people perception aboutthems guilty in this events. Proof- for six months 70% percents of work of hospital were dedicated to help locals. Most of caseis were people transported with rotary or fixed wing, not wounded, but common ill people. Every flight is grate risk for the crue and medical staff. I'll ask you, how often you listen or watch about local ill people rescued of our soldiers and how often you listen and watch about innocent people killed. Be sure the second case is rare, but on media they are first and only information. Enough! Time to share with you why for me this collage is more than perfect. As photography techique, I try to invent some remarc, because it's so hard to be perfect, but alas I couldn't even invet. As art- In every one meaning Art. Most important quality of picture!? Here not guilty people. Here I couldn't see who is guilty for the situation. Even the name! Inded,Why We Did Nothing? Both conners of the picture are innocents. I have an answer. Befor this kind of events, most of the people even don't know what's up in thes countries. It's not fashion topic on massmedia! When we know what's up there is too later. Another site, often so poor countries where sociaty like now have one strugle to survive and without rights to have some opinion. Most of the Hi Tech societeis people even now don't know that now one of grate problem in Afghanistan is hostility between local tribes. Children in Afghanistan haven't even socks. How many of people before TV monitors spare money for shoes and socks for Afghnas children? I met very gifted in mind poor Afghans! Who of us spare money to send them, to take graduation in Kabul university? To be TV watchers judge is very good and more over harmless! How many common people from USA, Canada Europe etc, you know, who spared this summer hollidays money for the computers and education of children there? Only one who did this could be judge!:) Heeee, I wrot new Hamle againt!!! Enough! Even the the rifle in diagonal not clear pointed who is guilty to be killed! The thumb in the conner is unknown. May be this is ours thumb. Only one grate Thank You for your perfect collage!

Best regards

PS Most of the people here aren't poor. The picture here is grate possibility for www.photo.net members, take company to collect money for educate gifted for photography Afghans young people. One way to do somthing. Only simple proposition - like example!
