The time is forever stuck at 1:31 on this statue's hand, which this young

woman with painted fingernails grasps temporarily in Portland, Oregon.

This is a statute of a guy with an umbrella, partially painted, but done in bronze -- commemorating 'Oregon' -- land of rain.

This young women, with painted nails reached up to grasp his hand.

I saw his arm, relatively gray, and her hand with painted nails and quickly (very quickly) focused and got this shot.

He was up very high so her arm was at an angle that I did not prefer, accounting for unusual crop. If she had been taller, her arm would have been more at an obtuse angle to the left, and perhaps a more aesthetic photo, but you take 'em as you get 'em.

This woman tried her hardest to get me to send her the shot, but I told her 'truthfully' 'everyone wants a copy of nearly every shot, and I'd need a team of secretaries to send copies to everyone who wants one, and for every time I missed everyone would be mad at me, so I never promise.' [words to live by -- just tell the truth -- even if it is uncomfortable]

I'm glad this amused you. It's just a very minor trifle playing mostly off the colored polish on her nails.

Best to you..

I've always loved this figure and years ago I did an ink and watercolor piece of "Allow Me". I've recently posted an image of him too I have :=]

As I sit at a desk 8,500 miles away, having flown over that area two days ago, I find it a very small world indeed.

I get around, and it's amazing the things I share with so many Photo.netters, including yourself.

Thanks for sharing.

Pardon me for misspelling your name:

Removal of the 'edit' function has caused me to add this correction rather than just correct the comment above.
