jim_daily 0 Posted May 28, 2002 Wow...what a beautiful animal. I would have liked to maybe have seen this bird's face a little more from the side. What wonderful detail. Link to comment
mark_kay 0 Posted May 28, 2002 Jim Thanks for your comments. I have some from the side but the bird was not in any action and I love the way you can see his windpipe in the back of this throat. you can only appreciate if you look at large image. I will try to post some of the shots from the side. Mark Link to comment
mike_sea 0 Posted May 28, 2002 You must be very proud of this shot. It is an animal shot I like and has much more to it then just a quick snap. Good work Mike Sea Link to comment
jaydee_johnson 0 Posted May 28, 2002 When I first started surfing I found many sites with photos of many things and many places - now that I've found PN I never stray. Reason - nothing I've seen beats what you guys (that includes girl-guys) produce - and Mark, here is a perfect example! I would have seen numerous images of peacocks in my lifetime, and nothing comes close to the beautiful detail and action portrayed here. A fairly common pose by this bird, and photographed frequently - but never as dynamically as this. It's brilliant! Only one that comes anywhere near is one I acquired of a pure white fella "mooning" around, i.e. back-on. Different and fluffy - but not a patch on this!! Link to comment
jim_daily 0 Posted May 29, 2002 I just took a look at it again, in large mode, and I agree, it's very cool the way the windpipe shows up. Just makes me say again, what great detail this photo has :) Link to comment

ajpn 0 Posted May 29, 2003 I had a freind who recently passed away who could mimick this guy's sound perfectly. He would have loved this. You don't catch one of these with his mouth that wide open very often. Magnificent. Link to comment
mark_kay 0 Posted January 21, 2004 He was making so much yaking -- you could see down his airpipe. Link to comment
