Photo Description

The UK is rife with ancient guilds (which some people actually believe are responsible for keeping prices so high in England - nonsense of course). The Guild of Butchers have maintained their hall for centuries now, and the traditions live on. The building is quite beautiful for its simple, stolid presence. The small, tasteful garnish of flowery colour near the front entrance is remarkable - almost startling against the austere architecture.
