dougityb 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Another in the series on Brit by the train tracks. How's the balance here between the tracks and Brit? Is placing her on the left ok? Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 14, 2008 The balance is fine, Doug. My immediate random thoughts are: what is she thinking? is she walking along the tracks, and isn't it burning her feet (the sun looks 2 o'clock high)? I've been wondering about exposure lately as well. Have you seen Brad Kim's work? They appear underexposed but perhaps not, and there's probably more latitude in post than one shot near the edge. There will likely be a compromise with noise but might be a worthy trade off. I mention this because of the featureless sky which can detract as a technical issue. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks Hussien. Mike, the sun is in that burned out sky, just above and to the right. The sky was recorded fully blown and I had to add tone into it. This was taken about 5:45pm. The rails were warm, but not hot. Link to comment

raymondborg 0 Posted November 23, 2008 Doug, I like the idea and composition of this photo. What I dont like is the light. In my opinion, this photo is over exposed especially the sky. Consider taking this again lately in the afternoon or earlier in the morning would result in a more drammatic image. Congrats. Link to comment
