dougityb 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Same Brit, same tracks, same light, different pose. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 13, 2008 I would have gone with a full length shot here, Doug, with Brit in a more playful posture. Maybe from a bit lower angle too. I gather you are much taller than Brit? Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted September 13, 2008 no. I'm not much taller than Brit. she's much shorter than me. :-) the sequence of shooting was: Train tracks, farm girl (orange top), creekside, and then hitchhiking. By the time we got to the last idea, hitchhiking, I was on the ground. Doer this shot make her look small? I have a full length frame coming up, soon. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted September 13, 2008 The shot doesn't necessarily make her look small, rather a personal peeve where I like to shoot at or below my subject's eye level. You're lucky to have someone with a van full of clothes ready for a day's adventure - wish I had that opportunity. By being on the ground, you mean from exhaustion? I carry a Lowepro bag with 2 extra lens and few accessories, and around my neck is a D70, a 35-135 zoom, and SB600 mounted. Oh, and a bottle of water, all gets pretty heavy after a couple of hours. Been pondering Ken Rockwell's thoughts on how to carry less. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted September 13, 2008 Can't object to a blue-eyed blonde. A touch of makeup might have helped a bit, and maybe a half-stop less exposure? It takes a lot to pull my eyes away from a BEB, but the tracks do that to some extent. Link to comment
