thadley 15 Posted September 12, 2008 I know! I know! I have stepped outside the box and this is not for everyone. But I have got to be me! Was a little reluctant to load this to PN but if by chance you happen to visit, I would appreciate your reaction to this image which starts from an original photo with the PS ocean ripple filter as the primary change agent. ramonromero 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Un trabajo fantastico con un marco original, como la edicion, y los colores muy vivos.Saludos. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted September 14, 2008 I like the glass look but am not sure if the leaf pattern isn't a little busy. I personally think a tighter crop with out the edge suits me better. Great colors. Karen Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 15, 2008 Thanks for the insights which I carefully consider - are you suggesting a crop that would end up in a square format. Are you also suggesting that the ripple effect is too pronounced on the flower itself? Best regards, Link to comment
adelah 0 Posted September 16, 2008 It looks very good, i like the frame also, fit very well to this image... Somehow it's a bit scary, presenting a world in disintegration! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted September 16, 2008 True, not for everyone......but I love it. At first I also thought the border might be too busy. But after tinkering with it, I felt that it was too bland without the border, so I think you've achieved just the right balance. There is a bit of whimsy and fantasy to this shot, and I think it's very creative! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 16, 2008 Pleasing colors with well thought out border and open spaces make for a visual pleasure to view , though not for everyone i can see this as a nice card with thoughtful saying ....Well done ! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Tony, I love everything you do, and this one is beautiful and creative. About the border, at first glance, I thought there were bugs trapped against the glass. (Sorry, I feel awful saying that). I'd say, leave the border more blurred, or cut down on the opacity, but don't touch the flower and it's stunning ripple/glass effect. Regards, liz Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 18, 2008 Thanks for the insightful comments. The border seems to be drawing much attention. Best regards, Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 18, 2008 When comments are constructive, you don't need to feel 'awful' - I had some misgivings about the border myself and wondered if I should change the color but I like the idea of reducing the opacity - maybe even a little blurring - will play with it. Thanks for the kind words, Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Tony, I see that others had some ideas for the border and toning it down is a good idea. A square crop might be nice as well without the border. I do like the glass effect and don't think it's overdone. Maybe a border that suits the edge of the flower, like a sloppy border (as they call them). Best, Karen Link to comment
