mauroni 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Hi PDE, when a provocative master like you are, says "great picture" my self-esteem starts to grow up. Thank-you Mauro Link to comment

david_l._forney 0 Posted May 31, 2009 This is a wonderful photograph. Perhaps my favorite from your fabulous portfolio. I like the darker tones in his coat and pants that makes him stand out from the background. His expression is precious. Mauro, you are a photographer's photographer. I don't have nearly sufficient experience to critique your work, but I wanted to tell you that this photograph is wonderful, and I appreciate your input on the photographs I recently put on line. mauroni 0 Posted June 1, 2009 Hi David and thank-you for your kind words. Actually you make me feel embarrassed because I'm more than sure that I'm very far from being such a photographer you are describing. Pietro, my son in the picture, is now 10+ and sometimes looking at this picture I feel a sort of nostalgia for the thousands of things is wasn't aware and he now is. And only 7 years have gone. I go to leave a message on your portfolio now. Regards, Mauro Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 14, 2009 i wonder why this photograph is not marked unmanipulated... if you have done any manipulation you are surely a master... this looks so natural and untouched... i agree with David that this is a fabulous photograph... i hope we will get to see 10+y old Pietro after your recent break from work, tennis (perhaps), and PN (almost total)... and don't Que serà serà me... i can't imagine a photographer-father not taking pictures of his charming son on a holiday, and a doting photographer-father not sharing the pictures with his friends... so the future in this particular matter is already determined... and ours to see Link to comment
mauroni 0 Posted July 14, 2009 the only reason not to mark this pic unmanipulated is that it is manipulated. The original was a colour picture digitally blackandwhited. As far as the actual Pietro is concerned, I will let you see the evolution. :-) Thank-you very much for your kind words Mauro Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 14, 2009 But desaturation of color to black and white is not manipulation! At least that's what I've learnt on PN. Even as per the PN definition given at the url: http://photo.net/photodb/manipulation Link to comment
